in this darkening of the days, slowly, I am adding in the paintings I didn’t want to put in this blog, or the ones still un-moored by words. The last painting I finished was the page of cups. On my easel is the five of swords marching in circles of mental patterns. In the soft quiet of the earth getting ready for winter, I find I am systemically burnt out. Still the paintings call to me! I could crawl, paint brush in hand, to my easel, and drag myself up, but what images would manifest from that space. So I went to New Mexico for a break and to see family.
