Artists Journey

admist the chaos that is grown children home for the summer and parents descending into the valley of dimentia, I have been attempting to ‘up my game’ and create an actual portal for the Artists Journey Tarot. I’ve changed this blog to a news outlet (read all about it! Oh, you already are.). Now you can find the specific ramblings about the tarot deck Ive been illustrating on its very own web page and follow along if you so desire @ArtistsJourneyTarot on Instagram. Or better yet right next door, er, window on the bar above where it says, obviously, Artists Journey Tarot. I’m not putting a link there. I KNOW you are clever enough to look at the navigation bar or you wouldn’t have gotten this far! I also shifted everything over to my facebook page (so now I can post more annoying photos of my cat of my FB social page) so go ‘follow’ me there…er…here…at SharonEisleyArt.

Meanwhile, when not spending ridiculous numbers of hours updating social media, I choose to paint an image that was in my ‘art idea’ list. Yes I have a list. Things pop in my head which seem interesting to paint, so I jot them down. Often when I’m driving. uh…At any rate I had noted that theres a native American term “Puhpowee” that is defined as the force that pushes mushrooms up overnight. How fabulous is that! How specific! I have no memory at all when I heard the term so I apologize to whoever mentioned it! LMK and Ill link you here. And you know I love a good transformation image so my shroom flys up into a moth seeking the sunlight. Its already been snagged by Oli Gallery, either in Petaluma CA. or Guerneville, CA.

“Puhpowee” oil on wood. 12” X 24” (maybe…? I didn’t get a chance to measure it before Oli Gallery whisked it away!)
